The first step in the investment casting process is making a wax pattern (or lost wax) and then wax cluster (wax tree assembly) of the wax patterns in a branch, designed and executed based on metallurgical, dimensional, and casting requirements. The waxes used in the investment casting of turbine blades must be of high quality and have the necessary stability and dimensional accuracy. Currently, high grade and quality waxes for blade casting are used in Carnocast.
