After dewaxing, ceramic shells are green and without sufficient strength to bear melt weights and shocks; hence, they need to be baked; the process of baking ceramic molds or shells is similar to baking pots and ceramic jars, which jugs have been operating since ancient times. During the sintering or baking process, ceramic shells are placed in the natural gas furnace and baked for about an hour at a temperature of about 1000 °C. As a result, the sinter occurs and the shells find the necessary strength to bear thermal shocks and melts weight.
